• Through a curriculum that reflects state and district arts education standards, students acquire artistic and technical skills that give them a voice to effect social change within their community, while developing tools to satisfy the necessary requirements for college admission and successful job placement.
• The OUSD Certified Technical Education (CTE) Video Production Classes presented by MEA at KDOL have been approved by the OUSD Curriculum Instruction Assessment Council (CIAC) for academic credit, and the classes have been approved by University of California Office of the President to satisfy the UC “F” Visual and Performing Arts requirement. The course is now on the MetWest Doorways page as a Visual & Performing Arts “F” class. The Advanced Video Production class articulates with the Peralta Colleges for community college credit.
